James A. May, Founder

Jim MayJames May was an executive in the medical healthcare industry for more than two decades. Before discovering the remarkable healing benefits of Paraguayan herbs, for more than two decades May was a respected administrator, author, consultant and teacher on End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). He also earned the distinction as America’s foremost expert in the administration and federal regulatory aspects of kidney dialysis and transplantation.

In 1982, May left the medical healthcare industry to follow his curiosity that evolved from working with the Guarani people of Paraguay to establish Wisdom Natural Brands™, formerly Wisdom of the Ancients. May’s commitment to bringing the rainforest herbs of Paraguay to the United States has allowed him to grow Wisdom Natural Brands™ into an international company dedicated to healthy choices for conscious consumers. Because of his unique first-hand experiences in Paraguay, May is acknowledged as the foremost expert on the healing qualities of stevia, yerba maté and symfrē, and has been a guest on countless national broadcast health talk shows.

May previously held positions as Vice President of United Healthcare Association (UHA), Inc. and President of the United Dialysis Services (UDS), Inc. May has participated in numerous professional organizations and activities, including positions with the Artificial Organs and Transplant program at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, Board of Directors of the Arizona Kidney Foundation, and End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD).

James May received his undergraduate degree in business administration from Brigham Young University. He currently resides in Mesa, Arizona.
